  • Build relationships with business owners, home owners and local contractors to secure future projects

  • Answer phone calls and assist with walk-in traffic

  • Load and unload building materials for customers and contractors if needed

  • Make deliveries if necessary

  • Store maintenance and stocking

Requirements:

​

  • Must have knowledge of construction practices and building materials

  • Good customer service and communication skills to work with contractors and homeowners

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for insurance to drive company vehicles

In this role, candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing the perfect flooring for their homes. Will work with various types of flooring, including hardwood, laminate, tile, carpet, and vinyl, ensuring that each customer receives exceptional service and expert advice. This position offers a flexible schedule and requires the ability to meet with customers both at our business location and in their homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate flooring options.

  • Conduct in-home consultations to assess space, take measurements, and offer tailored flooring solutions.

  • Showcase a strong knowledge of all flooring types, including materials, benefits, and installation processes.

  • Build lasting customer relationships by following up on inquiries, quotes, and past sales.

  • Prepare detailed estimates, quotes, and invoices based on customer requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom display.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new product lines, and installation techniques.

  • Collaborate with the installation team to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by proactively engaging with new and existing customers.


Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

  • Reliable transportation for in-home consultations and client meetings.

  • Basic math skills and ability to read floor plans or measurements.

  • Familiarity with flooring installation is a plus, but not required.
